Back To The Roots

The first episode of the documentary series Back to The Roots (Atgal Prie Šaknų) explores Lithuanian ethnic traditions that continue to exist and evolve despite the rapid modernization of our society.
It touches upon topics such as the revival of these traditions and their future, as well as the various types of ceremonies and rituals that people practice. The work takes a closer look at the different communities that exist throughout the country, the general idea of the term pagan and its meaning to the people who practice it. In the film, we show the beauty and freedom that exists in preserving a culture and a life-style that participants are rooted in.
